Product & AI assessment

Before you build, let’s understand what needs to change.

You may already have a proposal and a team ready to start. Before you invest, I help you check whether that proposal addresses what is holding you back.

In a two-week assessment, I work with you and the people closest to the problem to compare what you could build, buy, change, or stop. You leave with a recommendation, the reasons behind it, and a next step someone can own.

Who it’s for
Behavioral health and healthcare founders and operators first. Other founders and operating teams are welcome.
Timeline
Two weeks from kickoff, after a 30-minute fit conversation.
What you leave with
A shared account of the problem, a recommendation with its reasons, and a 90-day plan for a next step someone can own.
Fee
Fixed, agreed before kickoff.

Find what is causing the delay.

At One to One Health, we could be paying for clinical capacity while eligibility and onboarding delayed patients’ use of the service. More staffing would not, by itself, resolve that delay. I wanted to understand why patients could not yet use that capacity.

An assessment follows that kind of connection in your business. We look at where a request begins, who takes it on, where it waits, and what has to be true for it to produce the result you want. Your team’s knowledge is part of the evidence we use.

I may recommend building software, buying a tool, changing the process, or stopping a proposed change. AI belongs in the plan when it can help with a specific problem.

Read the operating story

A decision you can explain and work you can begin.

01

A shared account of the problem

We describe the workflow, people, systems, delays, and current cost. Your team reviews that account so the detail we missed can change the recommendation.

02

A recommendation with reasons

We compare the options, their expected value, risks, and what is still unknown. We make clear where AI could help, where fixed rules fit, and where the process itself needs attention.

03

A next step someone can own

We define the deliverable, owner, system boundaries, and completion measures, with a plan for the next 90 days. You can take that plan forward with your team, another partner, or Atom & Bits.

Start with one decision.

We start with a 30-minute fit conversation. Bring one product or workflow decision and tell me what you are trying to achieve. If an assessment is useful, we agree on a fixed scope and fee before kickoff.

I’ll need a workflow owner and people who can explain each step. We agree on access and use de-identified examples for healthcare work. Your two-week schedule begins at kickoff once the scope, access, and participants are ready.

You leave with a decision and plan. Production software, implementation, and ongoing leadership have their own scope. If the next step calls for a pilot or for me to lead delivery, we can discuss that with the recommendation in front of us.
